Brute Force

Brute force is an attack technique that systematically tries all possible combinations of passwords, keys, or parameters until the correct one is found. While simple brute force tries every combination, advanced variations include dictionary attacks (using common passwords), rainbow table attacks (precomputed hash lookups), and credential stuffing (using leaked username-password pairs). Defenses against brute force include account lockout policies, rate limiting, CAPTCHA, and multi-factor authentication.
